  An 86-year-old man has been charged with murder after his release from a local hospital. John Dickey Obryant, who has been booked Monday into the Richmond County jail, was also charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. Woman dies after Heard Avenue fire

Early morning shooting leaves one person in the hospital

Early Saturday, Richmond County officials responded to Peach Orchard Road, near Louisa Road around 3 a.m. after receiving a call from the victim. The victim was actually driving from Burke County, where the shooting happened. That person was taken to Georgia Regents Medical Center. Still no word on the victim's condition OR extent of injuries.

New video conference system launched for inmate court appearances in Richmond County
